Weight refers to one M-size glove. AQL 1.5 supply for all three weights was confirmed on 20 September 2026; record the inspection method and acceptance plan on the order. Application categories guide sample selection and do not establish medical, chemical or food-contact compliance.

One model, different sizes: read the weight reference correctly

The supplied nitrile specification uses M = 4.0g as the reference for one model. Its S-size weight is 3.5g and its XL-size weight is 5.0g. These are size variations within the 4g model, not substitutes for the separate 3.5g-M and 5g-M purchasing programs.

SizeLength (mm)Palm width (mm)Single-glove weight (g)
S240 ± 585 ± 53.5 ± 0.2
M240 ± 595 ± 54.0 ± 0.2
L240 ± 5105 ± 54.5 ± 0.2
XL240 ± 5115 ± 55.0 ± 0.2

The separate synthesis-nitrile and vinyl tables describe different material programs. Their weights, thickness and physical properties must not be transferred to this NBR specification.

Measured thickness: use the supplier sheet

M-size measurement3.5g4.0g5.0g
Palm thickness (mm)0.08 ± 0.030.08–0.10Request the product-specific sheet
Finger thickness (mm)0.10 ± 0.030.10–0.12Request the product-specific sheet

3.5g and 4.0g values are from the supplier specifications already published on their product pages. They are specification values, not new laboratory results. No thickness is derived from weight, and the separate 5g blend specification is not applied to the 5g NBR product.

Choose the weight for your customer mix

When should a distributor choose 3.5g?

Choose 3.5g for price-sensitive accounts with frequent glove changes: foodservice, light cleaning and routine general use. Compare cost per 1,000 gloves and the number used per shift. Check fit, donning tears and food-contact documentation for the intended destination before committing to a high-volume SKU.

When does 4.0g make more sense?

Use 4.0g as a balanced core stocking SKU for distributors serving general industrial, janitorial, cleaning and foodservice accounts. Run the same wearer trial as the 3.5g sample and check whether the change in feel and material distribution supports the customer’s task at the quoted cost.

When should buyers move to 5.0g?

Evaluate 5.0g when repair, automotive, workshop or industrial customers seek greater durability or longer wear between changes. A higher nominal weight does not itself prove longer service life, puncture resistance or chemical protection; compare sample performance, grip, change frequency and applicable test evidence.

Compare samples before you choose the stocking SKU

  1. Use the same wearer size, task, duration and handling conditions for all three samples.
  2. Record donning tears, grip, comfort, glove changes and the reason for each change.
  3. Compare quoted cost per 1,000 gloves alongside observed consumption, not just cost per box.
  4. Approve the exact SKU, inspection plan, packaging artwork and applicable documents.

Request Samples of 3.5g, 4.0g and 5.0g Nitrile Gloves

Request all three reference weights together. Free glove samples are available before bulk order; confirm the size/color mix, stock, courier arrangements and delivery address with Amy.

40HQ loading and free samples

Disposable-glove container reference: normally 4,500 cartons per 40HQ; selected packing plans can reach 5,000 cartons per 40HQ. At 100 gloves/box and 10 boxes/carton, this equals 4,500,000 or 5,000,000 gloves. Final quantity depends on the selected SKU, actual carton dimensions, gross weight and approved loading method. Confirm palletized versus floor-loaded capacity separately; the 130-carton pallet reference is not a container pallet-count commitment.

Free samples are available before bulk order. Send the glove type, weight, size/color mix, destination and packing preference so Amy can confirm the sample and courier arrangements.
